Hello, my names christian i am a self employed reptile breeder and have been breeding CB reptiles, amphibians and inverts since i was 6 years old. i am 17(nearly 18) and thats my main job, i also make vivariums and tortoise tables, i help manage a wildlife garden that is home to much british wildlife. i also go into schools and educate children on reptiles.

i am very much a layed back guy and really like to have a laugh and get on with alsorts of people, very easy to get on with never take life too seriously.

one of the few things i dislike is livefeeding rodents and such as i believe it is just a form of lzayness on the keepers behalf. i keep and have kept many snakes and all CAN be converted to frozen foods without any need for live feeding at all.

also i don't like rude people or those that make fun of people disabilites and of old people.

i normally only use MSN and myspace(when ic an be bothered), can't be doing wiht all these facebooks and stuff...but was reconmended by a guy off another forum about this so thought i would join

ONLY ADD ME IF YOU INTEND ON SPEAKING AND CHATTING, DON'T JUST ADD ME JUST TO HAVE A HIGHER FRIENDS LIST.

i have done a few courses in these but believe experince is more important that abit of paper.

i enjoy breeding and keeping my animals,,,i also run a small rescue centr from my house. i never sell my own pets....i only sell offspring, altho i cna ger hold of other animals for people, althouhg i only sell healthly CB animals.

i have pet shop experince and abit of vet experince aswell.

i really do like ALL animals. furry ,slimy, hard, scaled and feathered.

my favorite snakes are sand boas and now own over 40.

As said i am just a normal bloke that like a luagh and just to get on with life. i also don't judge a person and i view a person on there personality rather than there looks or likes.

i also play Rugby and a dam good darts player.
i enjoy listen to music and like going to gigs to watch bands play, i like to socailise and meet new and old people and liek going out with my mates.

i like watching films and sometimes have ago on my 360.

i don't just keep reptile amphibians and invertabrates, i also keep and breed tropical and pond fish, i ahve worked with amrine fish but don't have enough time to keep these.

i also keep PET rodents such has mice, rats, gerbils and hamsters. i have pet dog and some buggies. i also look agter wild hedgehogs, badgers, foxes and such.

due to my area where i live, i would rather not say my entire collection and i have none people have there houses robbed for there animals.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!

You're silly.  My posts are just as long if not longer than yours.  We're a couple of chatty cathy's.  I'm glad to hear that you are busy with parties.  What an awesome side job to have.

Congrats on the plethora of snabies and geckos(I love fat tails).  With all of the parties and mouths to feed I'm sure you're running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

I finally went to a radiologist and had an MRI and x-rays of my spine.  So I'm off to a back specialist soon to find out where to go from here.  My backs been terrible lately.  When I was treated previously there was never a firm diagnosis of the problem.  I mean he knew what was wrong, just not exactly what was causing it.  Hopefully they can fix me.  That would be awesome.  I'm feeling pretty positive.

TTYL,

JW

Sooo...I
was going to respond to the comment you left and figured it
was so old that it probably wasn't worth it at this point.  How have
you been?  What have you been up to?  Haven't heard from you in a while.

I finally posted some pictures.  Been at it all day and still have a ton more to post.  Now I'm too lazy to reply to your comment. :)  I will try to do so soon.

I have to admit I stole "snabies" from one of my myspace herp groups.  I'm not sure who came up with it but it sounded like something I would say so now it's mine. :D

I think that I'm going to try to get some pictures of my other animals today.  I'm sitting around waiting for the air conditioner person and have the day off after that.  Hopefully I won't be lazy.

Thanks for the compliments on my red hognonse.  If you think she's pretty you should see my little male.  Then you'd understand why I took a chance breeding them this year. ;)  I have high hopes for their offspring.  Sucks being patient.

If there was a way I could trade hognose for russians and javelins I would do it in a heart beat!!!!

"I like to think of it as I look after my animals well so they return the favor by breeding for me to help look after me." Ditto.

I consider you my friend as well. :D  And I am glad that I make you laugh.  If we met in person I'd imagine you'd be rather disappointed.  I'm pretty damn shy and it would take several visits to get me out of my shell.  Well unless vodka was involved.  I have a much easier time meeting people online for that very reason and to be honest I think this computer is my crutch.  Keeps me from making real face to face connections with people.  Tied up and thrown in the trunk of a car huh?  Kinky.  LOL.  When you come to visit you should smuggle some sand boas with you. :D

Male or female, it isn't easy finding people with shared interests unless you work in a reptile shop.  Despite our hobbies increasing popularity, people like us a few and far between.  Plus, like you mentioned, even if you find someone who's into snakes it's hard to find someone who is also into arachnids and insects.

Better watch who you let play with your balls, might catch something.  Never gets old.....ever!

Yeah, snabies!!!!  I adore baby hognoses.  You better post some pictures or I will disown you. :D

I thought that those Kenyans may have been from that big female.  I'm also hoping to get some snabies from my het albino.  That's one of the females I paired with my small albino male.  I personally don't prefer morphs over normals but I don't have a problem with people who prefer them.  Producing some morphs would be great for my pocket and a welcome change of pace.  Aside from corns I have yet to produce any morphs, it would be neat to see my first little red hog piping or a fresh little albino sand boa wriggling around in the enclosure.

Kenyans do get quite large when they are preggers.  The first time I bred them I was actually worried about one of my females.  She was so large I thought she might burst.  And I'm on the breeding side of things so the fact that they are cheap is no comfort to me. :P  I wouldn't mind getting a higher price for my offspring. ;)  Wow that makes me sound pretty greedy.  Like I only have herps to make a few bucks.  It is kind of nice to be able to support your hobby with your hobby.  If it ever becomes solely for money you have permission to shoot me and take all of my animals away.

If I have any problems with the site in the future, I'll probably say something.  Things seam to be running pretty well now with out my help but I guess it couldn't hurt.  And damn right, I'm the most awesome person to have ever walk the face of the earth.  Everyone should read my comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL!

It would have been nice if my man would have sucked it up for my sake, but I know how he is and if hot weather is involved he's going to be an ass.  I know that if I were in his shoes I would have done anything to make his day enjoyable, but he's not me.  I've lowered my expectations.  Makes life easier.

It's a shame that your experiences with the US were bad.  New York is kind of a shit hole.  And I'm totally with you on the statue of liberty.  It is much tinier than I expected as well.  I wouldn't mind one bit if I never went to NY city again.  Just getting from point a to point b is stressful as hell, not to mention smelly.  But then again I'm not a hustle and bustle kind of girl.  The fewer the people the better.  LOL @ the roach motel. :D  I'm glad that I wasn't you.  I don't mind captive roaches but the wild ones(mainly germans) are fucking nasty.  Bleck.

Yeah...post more pictures!!!  I like calling ball pythons balls for just that reason.  Hey Christian, nice balls you've got there....LOL.  Seriously, it never gets old.  I used to have big balls but I sold them.  There's nothing cuter than baby balls.  I like playing with my balls.  I like to hang my balls on trees to give them exercise.  My balls like to hang out on my shoulders.  I think you get the point.

Yeah, no brutalizing the children Christian! :D

Have fun with your balls!

Yeah, I'm so pissed at that hoggie for ruining her clutch.  She attempted the same thing last year and I managed to catch her before the damage was done.  She laid 13 eggs this time.  I'm still bummed.  And to top it off my red hog slugged out.  I took a risk breeding her with a very small male and it didn't work out.  I really thought he was ready and able, he sure acted like he was.  I might throw the female in with my other male and see if she drops a second clutch this year.  She looks amazing, so there's a good chance I'll give it a try.  I was really hoping for some red babies this season and don't regret the fact that I gave it a go.

I bred five of my kenyans this year and I think that at least three are gravid.  Like the hognose I couldn't resist giving my small male a shot at breeding.  We'll see what happens.  I'm so anxious to produce a some morphs just to shake things up.  Not that I dislike normals, it would be nice to have something a little different this season.  All snabies are wonderful.

So, was the picture of that clutch of kenyans this years?

Speaking of comment text issues, I got a message from Micrurus about my site problems.  I guess he's been reading my comments.  I've come to the realization that other people actually read what I post.  It's strange.  I mean, I knew that the possibility was there but didn't think that anyone would really care to read it.  Especially not the person who runs the site.  I have been rather lazy about reporting problems.  Eh.

My "on the rag comment" was intended to mean just that.  He really needed some Midol that day. :P  Nah, he's just not accustomed to Maryland weather so if it's above 70 degrees he's quite crabby.  I was asking for it by forcing him to go hiking.  I don't envy the rainy weather you have there.  There's nothing more fun than puddle jumping during a nice rain storm but if I had to deal with rainy weather frequently I'd probably loose it.

I'm so excited that you uploaded more photos!  I particularly liked the pictures of you holding your ball python, they crack me up.

"I had to finish rugby (American football without the helmets and such) as I failed my medical because I have broken my ribs and such so many times playing that they felt it would be too much of a risk to play in a team anymore. So after 10 years playing I have to stop….although I have been asked by a primary school to coach kids aged 6-11 rugby as they would like to have a football(soccer) and rugby team so looks like I have a army of little brats to teach lol"

That sucks!  I'm right there with you though.  I miss being able to play sports.  And your army of brats comment doesn't fool me for a second.:P  :)

Gotta run.  Laters.
