Welcome to FireDrake Exotics. My name is Sarah and I am the head honcho so to speak of this little operation. My husband enjoys the critters and supports me in every way, but I do most of the work, hehe.

We currently keep corn snakes, bairds rat snakes, Mexican hognose snakes, Nicaraguan dwarf boas, black blood pythons ball pythons, leopard geckos, bearded dragons and frogs. We also have cats, cockatiels, one tarantula and quail!

More money to maintain these guys, and better and bigger vivariums for everyone.

I really want a pair of Mexican Bairds rats!

Any my favorite balls...pied, axanthic and luecy...two of each please....

My Reptiles are first and foremost pets. I do not like keeping an animal I cannot handle. I do have some nippy ones, and do get bit on occasion but I do not keep anything that is consistanly aggressive! While I have, and plan on breeding some or all of them eventually, that is not the only reason they are here. I enjoy and value each and every single one of their personalities as individuals and I will never reach a point where I have so many they have ID numbers instead of names. I would like to be able to sell enough babies to at least have the hobby support itself.

My corn collection has two main "projects"... bloodreds and lavender morphs. I do have other smaller projects going, but I am probably going cull the herd a little to make my focus smaller and easier.

I have six Bairds rat snakes currently. A pair of hwy 277 local adults, two females of their 2007 offspring and a male het hypo and female hypo growing up. I am absolutely fascinated with Bairds and am always searching for more! I would love a nice Mexican pair.

I have a small but nice array of ball pythons including a mojave male, pastel male and cinnamon female. I have one adult male normal that is a pet, I have had since 2001, and I have four normal females growing up.

I recently aquired a nice pair of black blood pythons, a black head male and chrome head female, they are sure to be stunners! They are also the nicest snakes!

I have a trio of Nicaraguan dwarf boas...look just like the big guys but max out much smaller for easier handling and upkeep!

I also have a pair of beautiful little Mexican Hognose snakes...I just love them, they are such bluffers, they even hood up like little cobras!

We have a small collection of Leopard geckos, that was my husbands contribution to the collection, I had no interest in them till he got a few. Now I take care of them mostly! LOL

I also have four bearded dragons, I used to breed them but stopped because I think they are the next throw away pet, like iguanas. My remaining dragons are just pets!

I also have four dart frogs: one auratus and three vivattus, and a pixie frog.

Oh and one tiger rump tarantula, a rose hair and an emperor scorpion named Muffin

Other than Reptiles, I am an artist, and photographer. I am an avid reader, enjoy gardening, bird watching, music, movies, collecting gems and minerals and of course all other animals as well.

hey! thanks for the add and comments! You have a very nice thayeri collection, I had no idea they varied so much!

As for my bairds, I honestly do not remember the name of the guy I got them from, but I do remember he was in California.

I was hoping to have some babies het stripe and lavender this year, but the clutch was all slugs, and I have not decided yet if I am going to keep the striped female still or not, so there is no immediate plans for anything striped right now.

Thanks!

Sarah

Sorry about your luck with the corn clutch. Thanks for the compliments on my collection. Thayeri are also aptly known as Variable Kingsnakes. Easch clutch is like christmas presents, you never know quite what youre gonna get. Lots of fun!

Hi Sarah,

I share your philosophy of keeping your animals as family members with names. I am the same way with mine. I have been leaning towards getting some lav stripe corns, will you be producing those? I think Bairds are cool also...and fairly under-appreciated. I should be acquiring a pair of Mexicans this season. And I saw your comment to brainxdead about his god free pic...I agree. Stop by my page to visit sometime. It sounds like we have many common interests.
