When I'm not at my day job, I am the education coordinator for the Arizona Herpetological Association. Currently I am also a member at large on the board of directors for the AHA as well. It's always very interesting.

More than I should have in my little apartment.
14 lizards
13 snakes
8 frogs
4 toads
3 tanks of fish (Hubby's idea)
2 pet rats (honest, they are not food)
1 teenager.

a bigger home!

Mo Money to feed all these critters (including the teen)

I'd always had a passion for snakes, but lately the lizards have been winning over and we somehow ended up with more of them than snakes... go figure.

I also am a rescuer on the AHA hotline, I went on 30 rescue calls in 2007, maybe I will be able to get to rescue more in 2008...

photography is about the only other thing that gets me out of the house, otherwise I'd just read books or surf the internet all day and night. LOL

I think that water dragon's mouth rot is getting bad. He hasn't eatten in 3 days. I have the medication I used on my water dragon but if it's effecting his eatting it's probably gotten into his teeth/gums and will need to be seen by a vet before he has to have his teeth removed. :(

advice on what I needed to do legally to set up a sanctuary or rescue. I've called the game and fish, and a couple federal organizations. Just a bit overwhelming.

That would be cool. I haven't yet gone. Ross isn't too fond of them though. But it would be a good idea to go talk to them. Typically when I ask people for advice, they tell me not to do it.

Thanks. Everyone else just says I'm weird. lol. Did you hear I'm going to Africa in August to do work at a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center? I'd really like to open up a reptile rescue and rehabilitation center here but I don't even know where to go. I've legally started one in my apartment but I'd really like to open a building so we could take in large reptiles. I've started designing it on my computer.

Wow. that really sux. Good thing he's got a better home now with you.

yeah, it's really sad. When I first got him he couldn't lift his head to eat. I couldn't walk into my room without him whipping at the walls of his cage. How he can actually be almost sweet and can pull himself out of his cage. He's come a long way- at the expence of many bandages, packs of ice, one black eye, one cracked back and a $200 ring he bit off my hand lol :)
