I am a 24 year old Desert Dweller. I live in and love Las Vegas! I have been here for 13 years and have been in love with the pets since I was 4 when I got my first Box Turtle, Spike...I loved that little guy. I have worked in the pet industry for over 7 years, the last 2 being owner of a self service dog wash w/ my PoPs. Nothing like a family biz!!!

I am interested in all Herps...
I am a BIG fan of big lizards & any Reptile with rare and unusual colors...oh and of course Beardies are my fave!

I love MMA, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Movies, TV, the desert and most of all Bearded Dragons! There is something about their spikes, color and personality that makes me have to lock my credit card away every time I log onto the internet.

I went away from Herps a couple years ago after filling my home with just about any Reptile you can think of...I wanted to get back into Retiles for about a year and Bearded Dragons were always my favorite, their personalities could not be matched in my opinion. So here I am with a male Beardie named Dinho from the best new breeder, Anthony @ Annapolisbeardeddragon.com (username,Annapolisbeardeddragons here)!

What's up buddy, to answer your question I have more pictures of Mango my Orange Hypo Pastel in my gallery, and his more is Orange GG/Hypo x Snow Hypo (Clear nails). And the Snow Flake x Ed babies are Sunburst/Snow x Red Flame/Red Desert. It sounds like a weird cross, but they turned out amazing! I'm very happy with their color distribution!

Later D,

Anthony

What's up D, I haven't picked out a holdback yet, but I have an idea as I have several babies that have amazing color with good size! I'm looking at keeping a male and female from this clutch!

Talk to you soon,

Anthony

No sucj thing as too many snakes...you are right you really love snakes! 200 babie snakes...that must get expensive for sure! Are you tempted to keep all the babies since you loveem so much or are you breaking your neck selling them off?

it's not that expensive, baby garter snakes are tiny and they eat minced fish and pinkies... selling them doesn't really bother me cause I know it has to be done!

That schedule is very impressive...your life is snakes. Gotta free up friday and saturday for fun of course! I just read that schedule to some friends and i wish you could have seen their jaws drop...i haven't told them about your 200 babies yet! Do you have a "regular" job too or just the snakes!

hahaha, i work full time on top of all this stuff! I work in the snakeroom upon my arrival home from work.

is there a point where you ar elike..."Ok I have too many snakes!" or is there no such thing!?!

hahaha!!! if you think what i have now is alot, you should see garter baby season!! I usually have at least 50 of the little buggers, next year itll be between 100 and 200!! I also am expecting a cluth of corns within the week, and my graybands have locked up every day now since the weekend started! As long as they are all adequately housed and cared for, you cannot have too many snakes!

Ok I can see how the schedule makes it all possible but how long does the process take on a feed day because do they all eat the same thing or is all over the board as far as size, frozen or live? Where do you eep all their food? That is amazing about the names...but why only 90%...do you need some help naming the others? You should post a picture and a poll and let RG name one, that would be cool!

My schedule goes like this:

Sunday is cleaning day.

Monday- feed baby garters, that invovles taking a small dish, thawing out about 7 pinkies and a filet of fish, and mincing it up with a small pair of scissors... and then offering them this nasty little mouse organ and fish cocktail with my tongs.

Tuesday- feed adult garters, thaw out 20-30 pinkies and some fish.

Wednesday- feed small mouse eaters, these are all the non-garter snakes that eat pinks, fuzzies, or hoppers.

Thursday- feed any adult mouse/rat eaters that need to eat that day. Not all of them eat once a week. Feed baby garters again!

friday and saturday... go in the snakeroom and say hi guys how are you all today, make sure everyone is okay, and thats about it!!

Feeding takes an hour or two each day, it could take less, but i really enjoy doing it and so i take my time when im with them.
