First of all, the "bka" in bka_mama, comes from the first initial of each of my boy's names - Blaine, Kole, and Alex. Yep, I have all boys. They are 9, 6, and 4 years old.
Scott ("Hercules") and I like to joke around and tell everyone that we live in a zoo. We're only half joking, though. You see, besides having 3 boys, we have a Siberian Huskey named "Bleu", a Golden Retriever named "Buddy", 2 calico cats named "Reba" and "Della", 2 fish tanks, a salamander named "Sal", an African soft-furred rat, 2 bearded dragons, a blue-tongued skink, an iguana, and 59 snakes (plus 5 BP hatchlings). Oh, and did I mention that I run a daycare out of my home?! So, during the week I usually have an additional 7 kids added to the mix!
If it weren't for my "skinny kids" (my snakes), I think I'd go insane some days. At the end of the day, they're my sanity savers.

My desire is to be able to make a decent living breeding snakes someday - or at least to replace my daycare income - and to be able to share my love for these awesome animals through educating the public, as well.

Another favorite quote:
"In the end we conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught"
by Baba Dioum

Snakes are my #1 - primarily Boas - and salamanders are also a favorite.

Photography - I take just a few pics - LOL! - Good thing I have a digital!
Spending time at my family's cabin,
4-Wheelin', fishing,
Riding motorcycle - I just got my endorsement this past Fall.
and of course, snakes, and really, I just love most any animal!

Nice looking collection you have! I especially like your locality boas. I think Chad's Hoggs are the best looking! I have a female from his line. And your caulker is a sweet looking one, too - My girl is one of my favorites - she's so sweet!!

Thanks for the kind words. I've tried to carefully select quality stock that can be easily verified, esp. on the locale animals of any kind.

I just got the Caulker Cay boas and you can't help but like them. They "tend toward anerythrism" and I asked Gus for 1 animal of each kind, both an anerythristicish and one not that way. Something about the density of the pattern and the contrastiness of these boas just appeals to me. They're becoming a quick favorite for me.

Peace,

TC
