June 10, 2008:I got some used Reptile displays from my local petstore as they were getting new ones.I'm using these mostly to keep my African house snakes in, as well as our baby Dumerils boas. But the best thing was, as a bonus, a baby amel corn apparently was left in the cages! The little squirt has a spinal kink and one eye larger than the other, but he's sweet and eats like a champ. Although these blogs don't seem to be read very often I just wanted to write this to voice my excitement. To quite a few out there this wouldn't be a big deal but to me it is. Yesterday I added retics to my hopeful future breeding projects in a big way. I did some trading that involved me giving up my 17+ ft albino green burmese python :( However, I now have pair of genetic striped retics and 2.1 tiger het caramel retics. I already have 12+ ft tiger female so I hope to produce my own tiger het caramels next year. I just posted pics in my gallery and will update them as they grow.
