Why not RESCUE?

Hello once again reptilegeeks! Today I come to you all with the concern of all the reptiles that are available for adoption across the nation. As the new show that pet finder has coming out an the Animal planet, I have realized that there are a lot of reptiles on the pet finder web site. Now if you factor in all the shelters and rescues that deal with reptiles that are not associated with pet finder; there are so many. So I just want to bring to your attention that the next time you plan on paying big bucks for a new reptile take a look at pet finder and the other people here on this magnificent site that run rescues, and do your self and a needy reptile a favor. Here is a link to how many reptiles are up for adoption just on pet finder. And as you would normally think iggs are on the top with a total of 105. Just imagine how many more are out there!! http://www.petfinder.com/breeds/Reptile So please if you or some one you know is looking for that new reptile, please consider adoption!!! Also for you that are able to care for big snakes there are quite a few on pet finder. These as you all know are hard to place so please think about giving them the home and care they need. They are not for every one.

 Great post Dizzl .... Be great if everyone check local rescues and petfinder.com first.. If I had more room I would take in so much more. Just in the makings of adopted a leo from a local Rescue. Again happy to see others think about this to ...

That would be a great idea! Who needs them? Were reptilegeeks!! It would be nice to have one here, then we would not have to leave the site unless needed!
