Display Cages only for me, from now on
Posted On 04/27/2008 09:28:14 by boakingdom

This has nothing to do with the "display cage VS rack system" debate that forever lives in our hobby....

I've breed a LOT of snake species over the past 18+ years and produced a LOT of babies. I started with Amazon Tree Boas in glass tanks with live plants and waterfalls...added some colubrids and boids also in glass tanks....then my hobby evolved into a heated snakeroom full of racks.

After a number of years I did "full circle" back to my first love; Amazon Tree Boas in display cages. I actually switched the ATBs back to display cages while I was still breeding other stuff in racks.  ATBs to me, are just so beautiful and are the ultimate display snake, it seems a HUGE misjustice to keep them in a rubbermaid and have to open it up in order to see the snake. I've since gotten completely out of all non-ATB projects (with the exception of 1.2 Okeetees) and have my snakeroom lined with display type caging.  I work for a living, the ATBs are a hobby....I LOVE to come home, sit in the snakeroom and relax, listening to music and looking around at the gorgeous snakes!

I have nothing against racks, they're the best thing ever invented for people with large collections, when I had 100+ breeders I used nothing but racks.

Like I said....I've had my share of racks, they're great and I have nothing against them.

I have used Visions, but the ones I have pictured here are not Visions. Yes, all those tree boas cages are front-opening, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Those are nice display cases.  Did you say they were visions?  Do the all glass ones open in front?
