My first field herp trip!

 Friday evening, at work my good friend Danny called me up and says "hey u all wanna go out to the woods tonight and look for some cotton mouths?" I was like "HELL YA" I called Reed and he was a little burnt out from working all day and wasnt wantin to go do anything. So I was still in. I had to go look for my head lamp, and some other stuff. So I didnt get over to his place till 1030. We hit the road and went down to Ponoco swamp here in VA beach. Wow! Talk about swamp, and creepy. There were HUGE ASS wolf spiders with rainbow eyes. Not to mention, the ones who had webs ready for you to run into. So all evening Danny and I walked up and down the swamp looking for anything and everything. Unfortently we didnt find any snakes, though I picked up a few frogs.

 I learned a lot though. And I look forward to doing it again very soon. Hopfully when we arent working the NC show this weekend we can go out looking for some more rattlers!!!

I just thought I would share!

take a camera next time and take pics!!! even if it is a few pics of trees and spiders.... thats what makes it fun :)
