* I'm working on a MySpace page, but it's going slow...
Boa Kingdom MySpace page If anyone has some tips, please HELP.

I've been a nature/wildlife lover since about the age of 5. As an adult, I've been keeping/breeding snakes for almost 20 years with my main focus being tree boas.

I work for a living, the snake breeding is just a hobby. I'm a lead supervisor in a large forging facility in Chicago. They recently added a 5 minute video to their home page showing all the facsinating things we do...check it out! Jernberg/HHI.

Amazon Tree Boas...a snakeroom full of them!... including Paradoxes, Tiger morph, Leopard morph, and a wide array of natural colors/patterns. I've bred many snake species over the years, but Amazon Tree Boas were always my passion. In '07 I decided to work exclusively with ATBs from now on.

Non-reptile pets: I have a Siberian Husky, a Collie, a female Sugar Glider, 1 bird (Red Bishop Weaver), and who knows what else I may bring home on any given day :)

Some killer hold-back babies from the 9 ATB females that will hopefully breed this year ! ! !

Amazon Tree Boas: keeping them, breeding them, photographing them and studying them...
I love to read about their natural history, habitat, population variations from different geographic locations. I also enjoy reading about their natural activities, habits, & preferences in the wild and how they compare to their behavior in captivity.

Ruby Throated Hummingbird photographed in my garden
Nature/wildlife photography, bird watching, nature hikes with my dog, art/painting, & music, I LOVE MUSIC (mainly blues, southern rock, and metal)

Simple Man a strong statement about lifestyles & values, I like to call this song the anthem of red-blooded working class America!

End of the Line a song about the "wild & crazy" younger days...

Feel The Nails "does He still feel the nails every time I fail?"

Yep. Here's one with a breeding pair of Calico Chinese Beauty Snakes in it.....

See, I really like those. Were they as expensive as the visions?

BARRS cages are nice too. I have one and really like it. I talked to Andy Barr a couple years ago about buying them in 10-lots and he said he'd give me a nice price...I never followed up on it though.  I'll probably just keep adding more Zoo-Meds as time goes by.

I like the exo terra LARGER ones only becuse of the dual doors, I prefer the smaller zoo meds over the exos becuse they seem more suitable, and the doors feel kinda weird cause they are so small...

Yes, I thought they were great. I sold them when I started getting bigtime into the colubrids...I should have just stored them in case I ever wanted to use them again. I like these Zoo-Meds, but would really prefer Visions.

Do you really like the vision cages with the ATBs though? I mean they look good, easy clean, but do they serve thier purpose? LOL BTW, I see your stuffed snake on the vision cage, we have one too!!!! LOL

*SIGH* Man, I cannot wait till he gets here, I am going to pick up some more bark and foliage for his tank soon. Have you ever did live plants, other than say those air plants? Any suggestions?

Yeah, I have used a variety of live plants, pothos work best. Here's an old pic of a cage with live & fake plants and a water fountain.

BTW...I don't buy into the theory of tall cages being preferred by tree boas, I've used cages that were 4-5 feel long and only 18-20 inches high and they loved all that space. In a tall cage, they'll usually use the top and 1/4 of the cage.

This is a little simpler; drift wood, live plants, and newspaper substrate
