Welcome EVERYONE to the Herptile Intelligence Center, (HIC) this group is the RG University of Herpetology! My Name is Christopher M. Vaughn also known as Lucius_Dahlia. The group you have entered is primarily defined as Herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. This is an educational group that will conduct a series of studies involving the general and specific topics of Herptiles. The information I will be using will be from text books, encyclopedias, and articles from universities and societies based on Herpetology

ABOUT THIS CLASS
This Group is a FREE Online Class for everyone who wants to join. The FEE that you would have to pay is the $5.95 for each exam at the end of each TERM. (Term = about a month or more.) Down at the bottom of this page you can read all about where YOUR money is going to. Now you do not have to participate at all to be a member of this University. You can simply browse our topics and discussions that interest you, as well as, copy any valuable information for your own database! For THOSE who PARTCIPATE in the activities that provide for, will receive a HERPTI-AWARD! What is this Award? Well, for the people who score a 70% or better on the quizzes, I will purchase snake points from this site and in return you will receive those points! I will hand assignments for every Chapter that we cover. You can go to the forum topics that say Assignments and see how much CLADES you get. Attendance will count towards your Grade. How do you attend on an online class? All you have to do is participate in the forums!! Discuss in class = get points for being in class! After you have had some time to finish the quizzes and assignments, I will give you an EXAM, which will cost $5.95 to take. Reason for this will be discussed at the bottom of this introductory.

GRADES
Quizzes/Assignments/Attendance/Extra Credit = all sum scores are added into your Quiz score and then added into your Exam Score to get the FINAL GRADE!!!!!!

Attendance will equal 1 point for each time you participate in the chat room or under the forum replies. For every 10 points you get your percentage grade will jump up 1 percent!

Quizzes will be up until Exams are ready to be taken!

Assignment will be posted under the Assignments Forum followed by the due dates under each assignment! These will be a huge part of your grade.

Extra credit will go toward those who do them! If you choose not to do them, they will not be counted against you, they are only counted for you!

Exams are long and difficult and you will get up to 1-2 weeks to do turn them, and depending on your situation, there may be a three day grace period!

HERPTI-AWARDS/WINNER INFO
On Quizzes I will take the people who have a 70% or better and give them a small proportion of snake points. WHY you say? Because they are meant to be easy yet difficult for you learning experience and they are to help you get prepared for the Exam. And I am paying out of my own pocket to provide you the awards that you proudly should receive. The THREE TOP MEMBERS that have the highest score get a medium amount of snake points. For each season (fall, winter, spring, summer)I will add up the average of all exams in that time and the person with the highest score and you will receive a HUGE Herpti-Award! What does HUGE mean? Huge= a Reptile or an Amphibian that I will buy for YOU!! Shipping and handling I will pay as well!

For regular exams after each chapter the 1st Place winner will get 200 Snake Points, 2nd Place will get 100 Snake Points, and the 3rd Place winner will get 50 Snake Points. Now is that a deal or WHAT!!!

ETHIC/RULE DETAILS
When I post a chapter or section pertaining to our area of study, read the chapter then post you own thoughts, discussions, new and old questions, related research, related articles to mine that you want to share or even try to prove what I posted wrong, new research and proposals, experiences, any ideas, ect… Please just be appropriate to the discussion and topics when you post. I want to say that your opinion is what matters, those of you who have disagreeing views that is OK, in fact I welcome differences in opinions, they are what puts our knowledge and skills to the test, and gives birth to new question. What is NOT ok, is to use verbal abuse, arguments with no supporting evidence, (unless we are just having discussion that leaves room for hearsay.) not allowing for open discussion. I think you catch my drift here….

By showing up to class and participating in the activities as well as purchasing the exams will help this site improve! The more money that people send the more points I can award and the bigger awards will be obtained with ease.

Why am I doing this? Because I believe that everyone who loves and hates Herptiles should be educated to the full extent, so that in real world situations, people like you can make a better decision using logic, methods, materials, and knowledge that you have obtained. I just feel that everyone should be educated whether or not you need it!

Important! I am not a professor, I am a college student. I am not teaching you, I am just providing valuable information that you teach and learn yourself. I am not the only one who can post information. I am here to learn with you and answer questions best to my ability. The questions I cannot answer will make a great research journey. Don’t wait around for someone to tell you this stuff, find out yourself and with friend within or without this group.
If plagiarism has been discovered I will immediately remove you from this group and then write up a report.
