My name is Jimmy Johnson.
Some may also know me as Draybar.
I am 48 years old and have been into reptiles as long as I can remember.
I am married to a wonderful woman named Patti.
Patti has been very understanding and has accepetd a house full of reptiles with a smile.
I am a supervisor in a small steel fabrication plant.
I love fishing, with bass and catfish being my favorites.
I enjoy herping when I can get the time.
I enjoy zoos and aquariums and I like to read..mostly horror, fantasy and mystery/adventure but also magazines such as "Reptiles".
MY COLLECTION
Due to a recent trade I now have 55 snakes.
22 pure corn snakes.
22 corn snake/emoryi rat snake mixes, including creamsicles, motley creamsicles, stripe creamsicles and cinnamons.
I also have 6 bairds rat snakes and 5 great plains (emoryi) rat snakes.
These numbers can and will change on a regular basis.
As well as the snakes I also have...
2 bearded dragons
2 tree frogs
10 aquatic turtles (5 musk, 2 redear, 2 map and 1 northern diamondback terrapin)
5 Red-Foot Tortoises
and.....
9 cats
5 dogs
MY WANT LIST
At this time there really isn't anything out there that I feel I really need or want.
There are a few morphs, of corns, I have an interest in and will probably add to my collection over time but I don't neccessarily have a wish list at this time.
My wish would be more towards producing what would be considered exceptional examples of the snakes I am working with.
The best stripe creams or motley creams out there.
A certain look to my ghosts or okeetees that may set them just enough apart from the rest to make people think...hmmm...those ARE nice.
I don't really work with what a lot of people would consider the higher end morphs I just tend to stick with the animals that caught my eye and were acquired as pets.
Also combining traits in my collection like taking my best cinnamons and working towards motley and stripe cinnamons..etc etc
MY HERPETOLOGICAL INTERESTS
I think I basically covered my herpetological interests in my short autobiography.
I have ineterests in almost all herps from toads to bearded dragons, turtles to snakes but I must honestly state my number one interest is in snakes.
I love keeping them, watching them, photographing and breeding them.
I also highly enjoy field herping. It is a great feeling to find herps in the wild.
You get to see, and photograph, them in their natural environment which can give you a better insight on how to care for them and can also give you insight into just why certain patterns and traits can and cannot be successful in wild species.
MY GENERAL INTERESTS
I stated some of my interests above such as fishing and reading but I am also into photography.
Now, I say I am interested in photography but it's not so much into the camera, equipment and technical side of photography it is more just taking pictures and trying to get the best pictures I can, of life around me. Including my animalsand the floura and fauna in my area.
