Well after all the garbadge we went through with our eggs only one made it. Its a girl and we named her Kensie. She is a normal with a real nice pattern. It was our first clutch ever and a lot of the reason we lost most of the eggs were mistakes on our part and not being ready for them once they got here. Never again. We were going to sell her but because she was a fighter and the only one that made it we are keeping her. We will be much more prepaired for next season and have a lot more going on come next year also.
Just wanted to let every one know that I started a new job so the new pictures and video of things around here have slowed a bit. I would like to let every one know that we had a little power problem here and lost several of our eggs and the ones that are left are not doing the best but they are still wiggling around in their eggs. I am not going to go into exactly what happen right now. It is very depressing because we had 5 healthy eggs and now we are down to two. We still have a ways to go and I will let you know what is going on and try to grab some more video and pictures of life around here. Thanks for looking.
So its not really two weeks yet but it is close. I saw that a friend of mine was candling her eggs at two weeks and had her little ones swimming around in their eggs. Last night when I checked our eggs I thought I would recandle them and see how they were doing. All of them have very thick veins through out each egg. When I got to about my third egg I thought that I saw some thing move around. I stopped for a second and asked Sarah to come into the room. I stood there for about 15 seconds candling the egg and sure enough, it moved. We were very excited. Then we went around to each egg and spent some time looking to see if we could get any more movement. Three of the five had movement in them. I have to say that there is the excitement of them actually being laid then we just sort of checked on them every day but did not have that over joyous excitement like we did when she first laid them but this has got us going again. I imagine we are going to both be nervous wrecks when they actually start hatching out. I made sort of a make shift incubator as I had heard horror stories about Hovabators and we were not expecting more than one clutch of eggs so I did not go out and buy the incubator that I really wanted, that is for next year, but it has been doing well and I seem to be able to keep the heat and humidity where it needs to be. I hope to take some video soon of the little ones poking around in their ooze very soon so check back for some video.

We just produced our first eggs on April 24th 2008. Well we did not our adult normal female did. We are both super excited. This was a het albino x normal. We got five healthy eggs from her weighing right around 100grams a piece. We look forward to being able to post some more pictures and video later as this process continues without interupting them much.
