I have a friend that recently tore down his 130 Gal aquarium, and now wants to get into reptiles. He wants to make the best use of his tank as possible, and would really prefer something that lives in a more tropical looking set up. Other than that he's really open to suggestions, so let 'em rip. Keep in mind he is new to reptile keeping so the easier the better. Thanks.
How many people have the magnetic ledges from Pangea? What are your thoughts on them in general? I ordered a couple a while ago, but still haven't used them yet. I know they say to use additional magnets if your glass is more than 1/4 inch thick, so I used both sets of magnets on one ledge to "test it out". I'm using the ledge on the side of a 18X18X24" Exo-Terra terrarium so I figured it might need the extra strength. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but when I "flicked" the ledge with my finger, it seemed quite springy. I have this vision of a gecko leaping from it and the food and water being thrown all over. I'd really like to use the ledges in my cages, but I want to MAKE SURE I won't have problems if/ when I do. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
This weekend I finally broke down and placed an order with Pangea.com. I've been wanting a couple feeding ledges for a while, and decided I was going to get some Repashy super food and another book while I was at it. I live in Canada, so the shipping alone was $35.00! Oh well, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. Now hopefully I don't have to wait too long for my order to arrive....
