The Motley litter is doing great! They were born on 3-23-08 and all but 3 have shed today(4-1-08). I have gotten all them sexed and the results are....

Motley males. 5
Motley females. 8  (the striped Motley in my profile pics is a female!!!!)
Normal males. 8
Normal Females. 8

29 in all!

I got 2 more clutches today. One clutch had 4 eggs from a normal female breed to an Orange Ghost. All will be 100% het Orange Ghost. The second clutch is one of the clutches I have been most excited about. It is a normal female that laid 11 eggs her first year. She took last year off and this year she was breed to my Fire het Black Eyed Lucy. I caught her in the act this morning. She had just finished  laying her first egg. I gave her a little more time, When I went back in there she had laid 8 more. 9 eggs total with a 50-50 chance for Fire Balls.

Not only did I get a litter of Motley boas today, but i got my first clutch of eggs as well. To say the least, not a bad way to start the baby season!!! This clutch is from a little experiment I thought I would take a stab at. I have heard of several occasions where breeders have gotten clutches where their were 2 different fathers. Well I had a Lemon Pastel and was torn to what I wanted to breed her with. I could breed her to my Cinnamon Pastel and get Pewters. Or I could breed her to my Pinstripe and make Lemon Blast. Or I could breed her to my Fire Het Black Eyed Lucy and get Lemon Pastel Fires. All three combo morphs are ones I would love to add to my collection. So which male was I to pair up with this Lemon female??? Then I remembered reading where a breeder got Mojaves and Spiders from the same clutch, then I started thinking... I could do that! However I could do it and try for three fathers in the same clutch. I got six healthy eggs. Can there be three different combo designer morphs in these six eggs?? Check back in about 58 days and I will let you know!!!

Easter Morning I found the striped boa female that is in my profile pics had her litter. She was breed to a Motley Male 66% het for Albino. She had 29 babies in all. 16 normal and 13 Motleys(all have a chance of being het Albino). There were no stillborns or slugs! I will be posting pic soon of all the babies so check back!!
