My first corns of the season are hatching as I type......whoo hoo!!!!!!
Here is a list of all good breedings from this year. If you are interested in any of them please email me at westexherps@yahoo.com and I can put you on a list. I do not take deposits, it's first come first serve. Corn Snakes: Rat/Corn h. amel, hypo, stripe X Same Due: 08-06-08 Golddust Motley X Butter h. Mot Due: 08-10-08 Golddust Motley X Butter h. Ball Pythons: Spider or Pastel X Pastel: Due: 08-06-08 Spider X Normal Due: 08-16-08 Spider X Normal Due: 08-20-08
The first clutch of ball pythons starting hatching on Monday, the first to come out was a normal, but the other five have slit their eggs....and they are all spiders. Not a bad ratio, once they have come out and are sexed they will be posted.......hope the rest of the season goes this well.
Well, the first clutch of snake eggs are hatching as I type. These were Spider X Normal.....6 eggs so far only one normal has slit the egg. We have corns due in the next few weeks and also eggs due from either Pastel X Pastel, or Pastel X Spider.......here's hoping for lots of supers or bees........I'll try to keep this updated as the babies start coming but I have a feeling by the beginning of August we will have our hands full. We ended up with four clutches of bps and about 20 clutches of corns......most of them are due around the same time.
Our '08 Season has finally started. Our first two albino giant leopard geckos have hatched, with many more eggs to come. Our first BP clutch was laid a few weeks ago and the first corn clutch was laid this weekend. So I guess it is starting all over again, here's keeping our fingers crossed that it ends up a good season.....
Well, the first show of the season for us is done. We did OK, but not as well as we usually do. It seemed that many folks out there just weren't spending money like usual (but who can blame them). I can now at least fit all my holdbacks in to one rack. Which is good since the babies are coming. The corns and kings are breeding full swing and I'm expecting baby leos any day and bps eggs soon......I guess it's about to being all over again.
It's that time of year again. My geckos have been incubating for almost 60 days.....now I'm ready to see some little faces! I lowered the temp a bit from last year so I know that I may be waiting for another two weeks........And I'm sure that in a few months I'll read this and kick myself for wanting them to hatch so quickly. Come July when everything, (corns, kings, balls, more geckos) start to hatch I'll have my hands full. But, I'm ready to see who the first baby of the season will be.
The Raleigh show is fast approaching. We will not have any babies ready for this show but we will have some holdbacks from 07 and adult females available (all corn snakes). I always enjoy this show because it's the official start of the season. Anyone in the area should check it out and stop by to say hello. Below is the link with more info. http://www.gilaproductions.com/ral/ralmain.html Hope to see some of you there!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has been so friendly! This place is one of a kind. Thank you to everyone that welcomed me and wished me good luck this year. I wish the same to all of you!
