This is the first little one to poke its head out. We haven't noticed any slits in the other eggs yet, but I'm guessing that's soon to come. I might just slit the eggs in a couple days if the rest haven't hatched yet. Unfortunately, quite a few slugged out during the incubation process.

It's our 2nd new addition in 4 days. And it's another Dumerils! We picked up a boy from our main reptile store on Wednesday, and we picked up the girl from their other store tonight! Pictures are coming soon!

So the final count is *drumroll please*
12 decent sized eggs, 6 definite slugs, and one that's very questionable (rather indented and caved in). This is the most accurate count I could get. I couldn't get 4 of the slugs free, so those are gonna incubate until I figure out how to do that! Poor Pele looks EXHAUSTED and deflated. We're gonna get her a nice big mouse today as a little thank you present. A couple of the eggs are a little small, but they're still nice and white so we're just gonna see what happens. And now, progressive picture time!!!

So my gravid girl, Pele, shed this past Sunday. All I'm waiting for now is for her to lay her eggs. THE WAIT IS ON!!!

And after that, the wait will be on for the pippies... So much waiting in this hobby!
