i rescued this little dragon a few months ago. she has mbd, and was being kept with another dragon who had injured her, and ppl that didnt know her proper care. she was so tiny she was the size of my thumb, which is now her name :) she will always be small, but she is doing better here are the before and after pics (i cirled her injuries) and this is her now, my very grumpy girl:)

so now that is pay day im off to get some equipement for my new ball. hes been on papertowel and has a few cardboxes for hides. although cheap not what i want him to live on/in. i need to get a humidity gage, got temp gauges but i waiting to buy and electric one till next week. i need to get hides, maybe a log, a background substrate idk im rambiling any one got suggestions?

i noticed on friday that my resuced hamster, sesame, hadnt really eaten that much the past week. she was moving about so i didnt think to much about it. Saturday i noticed she was just laying on the bottom of the cage, sleeping- being it was daylight and this was normal activity i thought nothing of it. I mentioned it to my fiancee though, he was going to take care of the animals on sunday because i had to work. Monday rolls around, time for me to clean all the cages at home. I went to get sesame out of her cage and noticed she wouldnt really wake up. I didnt want to scare her so I tried to giver her time to wake up on her own before i went in her cage and started handling her. Nothing, no response, but a few feeble responses. I began to get worried so I picked her up, she couldnt open her eyes, and wasnt moving, but deff. still alive. I turned her over on her belly and noticed she had feces stuck around her bottom. I went got a warm/wet paper towel to try to clean her up. She still hadnt opened her eyes at this point. Got some of the feces off only to notice, that she was deff sick. It apperaed that she had an impacation, I could feel it in her abdomen. What made matters worst I belived her to be paralyzed. Not sure if this happend somehow first, or the pressure from the impaction was cutting of the nerves, either way she was not able to move her back legs. Now Im freaking out, i got a qtip cleanded her eyes, so she could open them. She looked so scared. Tried giving her a warm bath, massaged her belly, she was then able to move her back legs so I wasnt sure if she was really paralyzed. But by now I could see that I wouldnt be able to get the impaction safely out. I opened her mouth saw she was dehydrated, got a syringe and got her to drink a few ccs of water. At this point I was shaking, and crying pretty bad. I wanted to get her some ensure or pedilyte but didnt want to produce more waste because i didnt think she could pass it. Now, shes awake, but barely moving and her temp dropped rapidly. I decided to warm her up before calling the vet, so as I sat there holding her, she started having trouble breathing, it was a rasping bubbling sound. A few moments after that she passed away. I never felt more helpless in my life. I should have been able to save her. I was so mad at myself, I still am. I never felt so useless in my entire life.

every time i try to load a pic it shows up in my gallery as no pic ava. anyone else having this problem

so i went to the taylor mi reptile show to get my feeders for the month. and of course i had to stop at pro herps table to look at some snakes.... i couldnt resits heres my 07 male

whos going to the show in michigan this weekend (sat oct 11)?

yesterday i got a phone call asking if I take in hampsters. No hello just wanted to know if i would take a hampster. the guy said there is nothing wrong with it but his kid didnt like it anymore. SO of course being the sucker that i am i drive out there. only to see the saddest little thing, it was in a cage way to small that looked like it hadnt been cleaned ever. the smell was awful. so i got the little girl home, threw her old cage out put her in a nice big cage, this thing is so nice, she (Sesame) is a the nicest hampster i have ever seen. ive been so busy playing with it all morning i was late to work lol

as many of u know i work at a pet store. well michigan was hit with some pretty nasty storms over the course of the week. leaving most ppl without power. luckly my store remained in power just not full power..... so we didnt have enough power to run our ac units. all are pets are just baking away... it was so frustrating, the temps in the store where in the high 80s and the temps in the animal units where in the high 90s. With the lights turned out and the units pulled all the way out, doors open fans runing the temps where still only dropping to mid 80s. we were breeding canaries and finches lost some of the eggs, my snakes are Not happy but on the bright side the uro mali was so happy it was funny ive never seen him happier. then to top it all off dte said they dont know when the power will be back on full force, and there are still 1000s of others without power.......

anyone else not been able to access reptic the last few days?
