here in the richmond,va area there is a TV channel called FOX 35. Behind their building they have/had a stray cat community. So they hired a pest control company(yes, PEST Control) to trap and KILL as many of these cats as possible. Some of the workers of this pest control company got back hoes and Smashed cats and kittens to death!!! PLEASE if you love animals sign the petition so these animal killers get justice!!!

well, 4 of my 5 cal king eggs have hatched. The other is a little scared to come out. But looks similar (from what i can see) to the last 2 hatchlings.. Parents were Eve (albino stripe cal king) and Wishbone (High white reverse spotted cal king)

well, one of my clutched i have been looking forward to has finally started hatching!!! When i bought these babies i couldnt wait to see the offspring!! the parents:

Hypo het caramel partial zig zag x Hypo het caramel partial zig zag.  ZIg zags are my favorite!!! and the parents were poss het caramel, but the 2nd out of the egg was a caramel. No Ambers yet...but the first baby out of the egg is on fire!!!! I had to share!! he's fresh out of the egg, so excuse the moistness of his scales... and the slime on the towel. But he's got to be 75% or more zig zagged!!!

so my husband and i went to petco to get water bottles for the rats. And just to check i walked by the reptile area. they had an albino lav. Cal king that got stuck from trying to escape from its cage and about 1/5th of its head and body were in another tank!!! It was going between the dividers into a water dragons tank. Stupid snake i thought... But it probably just smelled lizard and was trying to get food. I stopped a girl coming back from break who hadn't clocked back in yet and told her the snake was trying to kill itself. She ran over and said this wasnt the first time for this snake. it supposedly got into a Milksnakes tank not too long ago and they were eating each other. (but supposedly the milk was winning) They had to poke and prod and pull the snake into its own tank!!! They wanted the king to go away because it was such a menace and they even had it for sale for $89. Sorry folks, its hatching time and i havent sold any babies yet... so i didnt have the cash on me :( But i wish i did.... i'd have named him houdini.

well, my 2nd clutch is out and yet another surprise!!! i proven Cobra (the father) to be het amel!!! YAY!!! So this clutch was all normals, amels, anerys, and snows all 50% poss het for Hypo. Not to shabby! And i have a few days of rest before the next clutch is supposed to start pipping... only a few days, but i can do some cleaning :) I'll post pics on my website as soon as these guys shed... i posted pics of my first clutch before shed, but people wanted to know what they looked like :) The first clutch babies (from persia and henry VIII) should be shedding in a few days and i will update the photos as they shed.

Finally!!! i have pippies!! the eggs are on day 64 and my first baby of the year is out... a little male normal...

the mother is Persia (Anery Poss het motley[now proven...2nd pippie is motley]) X Henry VIII (Normal hey Anery, amel, hypo, motley)

the 2nd little body is hanging out, but still attached to its yolk is a motley normal. how exciting!!! the 3rd pippie... i cant tell yet... still hiding in the egg... i guess i'll have more by tomorrow :) and i'll keep everyone updated!!

yay! i love this time of year!!

Well, i got some new leos from J.W. and Tamarah (Darkenism) the other day... they are beautiful!!! he even showed me around some of his other critters!! We decided to name 3 of the 4 after them... the albino already had a name (Dawn) So the Snow is Conney after J.W.'s last name and the Jungle girls names are Tammy after Tamarah and Jewel after J.W. (it was the only girl name i could think of with J and W in it) So look at the pics of my new girls :) AND if anyone wants to know... yes, i left some smokin' hot ladies there and he's planning on going to the Manassas show!!!

So i went to Petco to get some turtle pellets and mealies(good god they are small there.....my local petshop was out) so i walk over to see the Leos, corns, etc. Someone is picking out a baby amel corn to buy.... they have it out... the worker throws it in the box and the people buying it say "can you tell if its a boy or a girl?" The worker said something to the effect that you cant sex it until its breeding and you put 2 together. i quietly said... I can sex it for you.... Only the daughter heard me and was all "MOM MOM, she can tell... give it to her..."  so, "mom" turns around and hands me the baby... by then the employee is as far away as possible. i popped it and it was a cute lil boy. Told them and they asked for a few pointers for tank options.... UTH, Aspen, 2 hides.. told them the whole deal... they left with it all. MAN petco should pay me :) and 1 more happy customer.... even-though it wasn't mine... but i made someone happy- which made me happy- YAY
