But that's just it. I have a Buton (he is pictured) and i have a Sulawesi. There is a difference. Not much, scaling is different, and pattern as well, IF they are pure blood.

Butons Don't get big. A sula is going to get very big.

He has been at the Vets. all day. I brought him home. He is no better, but no worse. He is around 3 to 4'.

If he does not make it, this certainly is because i left him there too long before i made up my mind about getting him.

He is sick due to poor husbandry. With me, he would have been fine.

These people make me sick!

Most that came in would not eat and I'm sure kevin or Andy never tried to force them, which sometimes will get them started. There is more difference than you think. They do have same patterns, only later after several sheds will you see the difference. If yours will not eat and not shed you won't see it. I have had several of both. I can show you a pic of mother to my selayers and you would swear she was a Sula. Most people want to believe they have one just to convince theirselfs. Is you buton have a bright yellow head? Have some one haold you snake and take you finger nail and open his mouth. fresh kill a small rat or medium and push it down to where it stops and then hold its mouth shut so teeth will hook rat. also up the temperture. fresh water bowl. if it looks like mouth rot starting in spray procide around and in andd then rinse. I can't think of anything else. Like I said before he was only money to nerds, all these that I had only cost $60 ea. I had 30 last fall.

Hi. This snake did not come from NERD. It came from south Fl. They had this snake for months. He eats. He has good girth on him. I'm not feeding him due to stress on his body with the digesting process at this time. He should have a feeding this week-end (Maybe). No mouth rot. He is being watched close by me and my Herp. Vet. His mouth is cleaning up from that cotton look. It's clear. He is on oral Cipro right now. Stopped the injections as they are a high dose.

Temps and humidity are fantastic.

My Buton is on my front page, he looks nothing like this Sula. My buton is alot younger too, and has an orange head. Still a "yelowhead".

My Buton i had for months, he eats weekly and is a very slow grower. Butons are. His nose is shorter. Butons have a short nose. The Sulas have a nose like a normal Retic. Big and longer. He's a Sula.

I will shoot you a picture of him soon, or put it up. I refered you to NERDs page to see the Sulawesi there. That is him. Same colour, pattern, etc.

S&S exotics out of Miami has a few wc's now. TJ is the owner. They are beautiful, same pattern. One is 14' female. (give or take) Others run around 6 to 8' it seems. Yea, Sulas are not hard to get. They have a nasty disposition, as does my Buton which is undeserved.

If you get lucky and get babies you can have a nice pet, My sulas, butons are very gentle and extremely tame. Hope your snake makes it. Misunderstood and thought you bought from nerds. There are a lot out there. I might have a tame pr of butons for sale later along with Sulas. There is a Sula, selayer up for sale on kingsnake, the guy has no idea what it is but ist is one of the two. Its cheap and tame. If I can help let me know .

Yea i kinda figured you thought they got the snake from NERD.

He's a biter. Was a display animal, nothing more. I don't fancy getting bit, but will work with him when he's up to it. Still needs lots of tlc.

I always look for young guys, this way i can work with them, and they know my habits. It's tough to take an aggressive snake at 4' and make it docile. He will not be 40% trust worthy in my book. But... i bite back! ;)
Thanks, i'll keep you in mind.

Hi. Oh yea it's a Sulawesi. There are many localities, and such, i have a" Buton Island" Retic as well. If you go to NERDs website and check out their pictures of Sulas, that is him to the tee!

I have dealt with wc Sulas, and yes it can be tricky, especially if they are not pure blood, as he may not be, but more Sula blood than any other locality.

He's in my garage, under dark for 18 hours, then 6 light. I will do my best with my camera by opening the door to see if the flash will get him.

He's stressing and sick. I don't want to add to this.

;)
