ABOUT ME
A bit about us. My Name is Sarah, and my better half is Reed. I have always had a reptile, except when I was in the military for a couple years... Reed and I started in our own herp collection a few years ago, our passion for this hobby has really grown. We enjoy the great outdoors, and good conversation. We rather spend time with good friends & enjoying our passion for the hobby together.

We have a diverse collection of herps as well as a diverse interest in future projects and breeding. We also do some small scale rescue. Wow, you must think rescue? Well, it was once told to me it is a breeders responcibility to rescue. After all, you are contributing to an ever growing population of animals. Also while working at the pet shop, I have the adantage of educating people on herps. Showing people snakes arent bad, getting more and more people involved and making the herp world that much better! I am always out for good conversation and getting to know more people.

I knew most give live birth but there are exceptions, lol. Guess that means I'll have to set up a cage, lol, I just bought a bunch of treats for all my reps today(except the snakes of course) I love when I get home after I get them, they all seem to know that I got them something, my beardie in particular.

I don't know if I can..can't remember if I made plans or not!! But hey, I went out with this guy last night somewhere near Great Bridge..we were going fishing, but it was dark and we couldn't find the pond..but the place would be excellent for herping!!! We should see about going out there when it gets warmer.








U fish!? How cool! What did u do then if you couldnt find the pond? Did u at least flip over some stuff for snakes? BTW we have one baby carpet hatched!!!
We sat on a sand dune and watched the stars and the deer run in the field. It was really cool!!! I didn't see any snakes..it was a chilly night! We saw a baby fox too. So cute!! Yeah, you told me about the carpet the other night. How exciting!!!!

Fireplaces!! and heat lamps for the kiddies!!
Almost set my rug on fire yest with a heat lamp!!!! My life is a lot of fun - - -look what you're missing!! I was feeding the Roaches - -and set the lamp (though I turned it off) on the rug - -left the room got the food came back down and it was smoldering!!! LOL thank God it looks like cr_p anyhow!!! Well now my blue/grey carpet has a lovely brown ring!!! that gets the D'OH for the day!!

















 

















LOL!!! Wow! U know, I hae did that too, I got all excited with our first clutch of the year, and I sat the lamp down on the linoleum floor in my herp room, and I was putting eggs in the incubator and I smelled this smell, I KNEW what it was.... Man... I covered it up with a shelf..
















I moved the Roach Motel over it LOL - -and if any one asks I didn't do it!!! Malissa set a shelf on fire I guess.... I feel in good company!! ROFL























 














I had a fire a few years back started in the corner of my family room from a faulty power strip!! Thank God I was home and able to put it out with my Kitchen Fire extinguisher!! And that Hospital fire training - -Did you ever have to go through that!! It dod come in handy!! PASS Pull Aim Squeeze Sweep.... I'll never forget that!!






SIGH.... We HAD to do it when I worked the clinics in the army. I didnt stay long enough as a nurse as a civilian to do so.. I am glad one of us is here just about every hour, when I am leaving hes comming home... Or close to it :)

Tell the truth Sarah cooking or burning???  usually mine goes off when I've got stir fry going with my WOK....Or if I've got bacon in the broiler....or when I leave the heat lamp on the darn carpet and almost start a fire!!! LOL  (no it didn't go off - -should've it would've woken my sorry butt up!!!)



















 








Did you salvage it or order out? I cook A Lot - -well not as much as I used to - -I love Gourmet cooking!!! I enjoy the thrill of diff spices and infusions of flavor - - I love to bake too!! Had lots of practice you still have a long way to catch up to me...oh to be that age again!!! I have a recipe for a banana cake that is to die for!!! I must want something sweet!! Maybe a piece of chocolate!! I make all my rubs and spice combos from scratch never never use prepared seasoning packets (way too much salt)...If you need help with anything cookin/baking you just holler!!







 






Girl thats just GROSS!!! I have an awesome Beef Stroganoff recipe!! I'll get by banana bread recipe and get it to you...I usually dont use nuts - -only because they seem to dry out the loaf and sometimes you can get nuts that are bitter and then change the flavor of the bread!! I'll get it to you and the icing recipe - -yes I ice mine with a quazi "buttercream" ...You poor thing!! I love grilling too!! I grill all year my gas grill is natural gas (Yep I cheat) I make ALL my marinades!! Almost never from a bottle - -You tell me what you want and I'll hook you up!! I'll make copies and mail them to you...easier than typing them all out - -Yikes Carpal Tunnel in the making!!









Well I got a BBQ comming up on the 25th for us reptile folks here (ur invited if u wanna come out, lol) its just gonna be us group of friends sitting and chatting and eating. I accidentlally kinda had one when the babie candoia were born, all my friends wanted to see them I kept saying sunday sunday, and all these people were comming and I was like well I guess I could cook. LOL well, here we go again! We all just had too much fun. I should make some bread. LOL




Whats the weather like there? Is it nice outdoors warm? Cause I got a great dessert!! and it very simple... Oh but its to die for!! It has yellow cake, chreamcheese pudding cool whip (or fresh whipped whipping cream - -can you do that without curdling it and turning it to butter? if not cool whip)oh and pineapple.....sound good? I'll pull out the recipe and message it to you so you have it in time for your suare....Damn I'd love to come - -Hell I'd bring the dessert!!! NORTHWEST MOVE NORTHWEST - - -you'd get used to the weather!! LOL

They will be too young to breed by next spring though won't they? If they are then it'll give me an excuse to get 2, lol. I could get a red for next spring, and get the one from you to breed the following year, so I could rotate them each year, hmmmm...., what you guessing they'll be going for?
